Cundall’s UK Submissions team plays a critical role across the global business. The team work across all offices, services and sectors to ensure Cundall continues to be recognised as a world-leading expert in innovative and sustainable design engineering.

The Role

In line with the continuing growth of our business in the UK and internationally, we now wish to appoint a Bid Executive to take a leading role in the UK Submissions team and take ownership of the bid process, team continuity and associated work-winning activities at Cundall.

 

The role will include overseeing the bid management function and working with UK Submissions team to deliver exceptional written content, ensuring adherence to approved methods of working, driving the global bid strategy and making recommendations for improvement to the Bid Manager and wider senior Cundall team.

 

Core responsibilities include:

 

Bids and Tenders

  • Deliver bids and tenders in InDesign and Word. Competent use of InDesign is an essential requirement for this role.
  • Drive and reinforce bid strategy, management and deliverables throughout
  • Manage the bid process to completion, working with marketing team and senior technical staff to write, develop and refine bespoke responses
  • Thoroughly quality check tender documents prior to submission via electronic portal, digital submissions and / or hard copy
  • Ad-hoc management of junior submissions team members on all bid-related information
  • Travel as necessary to Cundall offices to assist with and drive bid delivery
  • General due diligence, ownership and accountability

 

Business Development

  • Undertake research (for instance on local opportunities, clients and developers), as instructed by senior staff
  • Analyse trends and feedback from submissions team across local region, work with and present to sector leaders as necessary to establish local strategy and targets

 

Marketing Communications

  • Lead workshops and create presentations in MS PowerPoint and hard copy versions for post-tender interviews

The Skills

Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant field, with approximately three years experience of working in a bid writing/marketing/business development role. You will have proven experience of working in a professional services and/or consultancy environment and experience of working strategically and independently, coordinating closely with multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives. You will possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You will also need strong experience with a range of industry-standard programmes (MS Office, SharePoint, Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu etc).
