This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join the busy combined team working across Cundall’s Birmingham and Manchester offices to play a leading role in the ongoing development our civil engineering team throughout the Midlands and North-West delivering a wide range of development and infrastructure projects.
Working alongside a team of specialist engineers and technicians, as well as colleagues across a range of various engineering disciplines, you will ensure the delivery of technically excellent and profitable projects.
You will take responsibility for all aspects of design across a numerous and varied portfolio of civil engineering projects.
Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering (MEng or BEng), and having already achieved or be in the final stages of working towards, chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng or equivalent), you should have demonstrable experience in a Civil Engineering role within a consultancy environment, and be well versed in relevant civil design software such as AutoCAD, Innovyse InfoDrainage and Civil 3D.
You should have relevant experience in civil engineering design relating to the built environment, including involvement supporting both single unit and multi-unit developments and the design of infrastructure across the entire lifecycle; from feasibility and concept design through planning submission and on to detailed design for construction and site inspections.
Experience of projects working closely with other disciplines, and interfacing directly with clients, Local Authorities and other key stakeholders would also be an advantage.
You should be a Multi-skilled engineer with experience across roads, drainage, flood risk assessments, pavement design, public realm, earthworks and utility infrastructure.
Experience in highways design for private development and local authority projects would be very beneficial in order to supplement the current skills across the combined team and support wider business aims to develop highway opportunities throughout the Midlands and North-West.
The successful candidate will possess both technical knowledge and managerial ability with a proven track record in being able to successfully deliver projects (on time and within budgetary constraints)
The candidate will have the ability to support the progress of junior staff and graduates, taking responsibility for their day-to-day technical development and review of completed work.
