We are an award winning global consultancy and have been named Building’s Engineering Consultant of the Year in 2024, 2022 and 2021. We are at the forefront of the industry, priding ourselves on our exemplary track record of designing innovative and sustainable projects.
Sustainability runs through everything we do at Cundall, and our people are empowered to drive change and decarbonise the built environment. By the end of this decade, we have set ourselves an ambitious goal to only work on projects that meet our zero carbon design criteria, a commitment we have called our Zero Carbon Design 2030 goal. We need engineers who share this passion for sustainability and thrive in designing energy efficient buildings and communities.
Cundall’s Structural Engineering team has a long-standing reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions that minimise the use of natural resources. As one of Cundall’s most established disciplines, our Structures team brings world-leading expertise and a collaborative approach to engineering excellence.
We are now expanding our presence in Australia and seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our Melbourne team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in growing our local capability while being supported by Cundall’s global Structures business of over 140 engineers and technicians
Based in Melbourne, you’ll contribute to a diverse range of projects across Australia and Asia. Working alongside multidisciplinary colleagues, you’ll carry out analysis, modelling, and detailed design across a range of materials and building types.
You’ll work directly with Cundall’s leadership team, receiving technical and commercial guidance from senior management that will accelerate your professional growth.
This is a unique opportunity to develop your design, project management, and client-facing skills while working toward Chartered or Professional Engineer registration.
You hold an accredited BEng (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering and have 2–4 years’ experience in structural consultancy. You’re confident using design and analysis software such as ETABS, RAM, or SpaceGass (proficiency in all not essential).
You understand Australian codes and approval processes and can produce efficient, creative solutions in steel, reinforced concrete, and other materials.
You’re organised, commercially aware, and passionate about advancing both your own career and the success of Cundall’s growing Melbourne team.
We provide a diverse and inclusive work environment and offer many benefits to ensure your professional development while maintaining a healthy work-life balance such as flexible start and finish times, working from home, diverse and exciting engineering projects, paid parental leave, paid purchase leave, professional memberships, birthday day off, amongst others.
We know that to be the best at what we do we need a diverse workforce underpinned by an inclusive culture. Creating environments where everyone can find joy doing their best work is also great for everyone. That’s why we positively welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and identities, and encourage, support, and celebrate the diverse voices of our people.
