The Team

Cundall are leading the way in the provision of creative, sustainable design solutions, and in order to keep up with the demands of the organisation, require an organised, collaborative, and dedicated Document Controller to assist our team of multi-disciplined engineers in our London office.

The Role

In line with the continuing growth of our business in the UK and internationally, we now wish to appoint a Document Controller to join our busy team in London office who will take responsibility for the quality control and organisation of incoming and outgoing documents for projects largely based in the UK. 

The Responsibilities

  • Control and distribute documentation & data in accordance with the requirements of the project
  • Liaise between the Project team, Design team, trade contractors and other external parties on document management issues
  • Assist Design Managers/Co-ordinators and project teams in document management
  • Uploading / downloading project documents to multiple Document Control Systems
  • Maintaining document control Deliverables registers (Design Phase)
  • Recording, checking and tracking all incoming and outgoing project documents (Construction Phase)
  • Reviewing and numbering with unique document reference and revision project documents before submission to the client
  • Clear communication of expectations for documents management with designers / design sub-contractors
  • Ensure the procedures and standards defined in the project's protocols and procedures are followed
  • Alert any discrepancies in document issues to the project team and that all problems are resolved in a timely fashion by liaising directly with all members of the wider project team.

  • Good understanding and experience of document control processes and best practices
  • Previous experience on DMS (Document Management Systems)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organised and methodical
  • Problem solving
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Process orientated
  • Experience of working in the construction industry desirable
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Word and Excel
