We work closely with our clients to develop, improve and deploy their standard ‘template’ designs across the world and so have the unique opportunity to influence the future of data centre design. We also work on many bespoke data centre projects.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced M&E Resident Engineer to represent Cundall on one of Asia’s most exciting data centre construction projects.
Based on a 1 year contract, renewable subject to project needs. The site location is in the East of Singapore.

You will be responsible for reviewing the engineering contractor’s procedures from a technical point of view and will make recommendations for improvement as necessary. You will monitor progress of the M&E works against the contractor’s programme and resolve site design queries and coordination issues as necessary. You will bear witness to all inspections, testing and commissioning sessions performed by the contractor to ensure compliance with designs and specifications, and ensure timely submissions of shop drawings, technical submittals, samples etc. by the sub-contractors.

The Skills

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• Minimum 10 years’ site experience with inspection in relevant trades (M&E)
• Proven experience in Data Centre projects (preferred) with exposure to critical infrastructure, quality compliance, and fast-track delivery
• Strong stakeholder coordination skills and ability to work collaboratively with GC, consultants and different AT teams
• Registered with BCA, LEW, AWS/ CSWIP will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of building codes, QA/QC standards for Data Centre requirements.
• Good communication and reporting skills in English.
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 to 6pm
• May require flexibility during peak commissioning or handover periods.
