We are an award winning global consultancy and have been named Building’s Engineering Consultant of the Year in 2024, 2022 and 2021. We are at the forefront of the industry, priding ourselves on our exemplary track record of designing innovative and sustainable projects.
Sustainability runs through everything we do at Cundall, and our people are empowered to drive change and decarbonise the built environment. By the end of this decade, we have set ourselves an ambitious goal to only work on projects that meet our zero carbon design criteria, a commitment we have called our Zero Carbon Design 2030 goal. We need engineers who share this passion for sustainability and thrive in designing energy efficient buildings and communities.
Cundall is a multi-disciplinary consultancy, offering a wide variety of engineering and sustainability services, together with complementary specialisms, from locations across the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and North Africa. Our growing Design Management Function is integral to the successful delivery of large complex projects across many industry sectors.
Cundall’s multidisciplinary design teams are a source of world leading expertise - and offer a pro-active and collaborative approach to skill development, and professional experience.
As part of the development of its APAC business, and overall global growth, Cundall are excited to announce the establishment of a new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Cundall have been working on various projects in Malaysia from our offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia so this is the natural progression for the business, building on long standing relationships and offering the same high standard of multidisciplinary design and consultancy services.
Our Malaysia office will enhance our regional presence in Asia, taking on exciting projects locally while also collaborating closely with our regional offices to provide seamless support.
This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and credible BIM Manager to join our team at our new office in Kuala Lumpur, to lead and manage complex BIM projects and produce BIM models and CAD drawings for all stages of design for our renowned projects across Asia.
As part of our established team of expert engineers and technicians across our global offices, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will oversee the production of detailed and coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit into our current design practices, and train and mentor more junior CAD staff in the use of Revit.
Having already been accredited with minimum of a relevant HNC/HND (or equivalent) and having proven experience at BIM level 2, you have gained strong practical experience of using Revit in a similar building/MEP-based role.
You are adept at planning and organising your workload as well as the workload of the technicians working under you.
You will need excellent communication and inter-personal skills, dealing directly with clients as well as sub-contractors and internal staff of all levels. You will require a solid understanding of all BIM practices and documentation such as ISO 19650 and COBie, not just from a delivery perspective but also from a lead role and have the ability to interpret and author all forms of BIM documentation.
You must have strong BIM and Digital Engineering software knowledge, not only in Revit but also packages such as BIM 360, Navisworks, Dynamo and the various Microsoft packages for formulating reports etc.
You must have sound knowledge of multi-disciplinary services coordination and have proven experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines.
We know that to be the best at what we do we need a diverse workforce underpinned by an inclusive culture. Creating environments where everyone can find joy doing their best work is also great for everyone. That’s why we positively welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and identities, and encourage, support, and celebrate the diverse voices of our people.
