Established in 2006, our data centre team has been at the forefront of mission-critical design and exceptional in-house engineering services. Our multi-disciplinary engineering-led team takes pride in working closely with clients on every project achieving the highest levels of engineering resilience and excellence. The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client-focused Senior Engineer with mechanical experience to join our data centre team in our Frankfurt office. You will play a supporting role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative design solutions on some of the most notable and large-scale data centre projects in the world. 

You will collaborate within our data centre team and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to help drive and support the delivery of technically excellent and profitable projects. 

The role entails you being very closely involved with the design process and production of design deliverables, working closely with your team of engineers. You will monitor budgets and programme, check designs, and communicate with the wider project and client team.  

You will support and be supported by senior staff within the team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative mechanical design solutions including HVAC, public health, fire protection, and building management services systems.  
  • Prepare technical specifications, schedules, calculations, project reports, and supporting documentation.  
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to inform design development.  
  • Coordinate detailed designs with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.  
  • Lead and support junior engineers and CAD technicians in design delivery and professional development.  
  • Contribute to internal and external project meetings, providing mechanical expertise 
  • Support project teams in the delivery of high-quality mechanical design packages.  
  • Work with colleagues across regional and international offices on multi-disciplinary projects.  
  • Support the technical growth of the mechanical team in Germany.  
  • Use your initiative to proactively resolve design and project challenges.  

The Skills

A Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership, educated to a degree level in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or equivalent technical engineering discipline. You will be fluent in English at both a written and speaking level and a strong communicator.

 

You will have gained experience in a consulting engineering role. Data centre experience is preferred although not essential. In your most recent position, you will have demonstrated your ability to manage small-to-medium scale projects and small teams of engineers to deliver projects.
