The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client focused Mechanical Engineering expert to join our Melbourne office. As part of the senior team, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of projects, the management of project teams, client relationships and line management duties.   

 

Working across a variety of sectors such as education, commercial, retail and critical systems, you will develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships to and play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative design solutions by leading our group of multi-disciplinary engineers in the Mechanical, Hydraulics/Fire and BIM department.

 

You will manage and control financial aspects of projects and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to lead the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects. You will be an expert in design and engineering within your discipline and across building services and be part of a global skills community for sharing knowledge, projects and your specific expertise. 

The Skills

A Chartered Engineer, educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, you have gained vast experience within a building services context. Ideally you will have in depth experience in consultancy to the built environment. You also possess a strong technical expertise in the property sector to deliver low energy design, solutions for advanced comfort while balancing buildability and commercial consideration.

 

In your most recent position, you would have consistently demonstrated your ability to lead multiple large-scale projects and teams to deliver to, and exceed client expectations, and crucially you have a passion for creative and intuitive design. You will be experienced in business development skills, with success in buildings and maintaining client relationships and securing work through engaging and commercially successful bids.

 

Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication and project management skills are essential. Regional or international experience would be an added advantage.
