We are seeking an inspiring and forward-thinking Finance Manager to provide leadership to the UK based Billing and Accounts Payable teams in Cundall’s head office in Newcastle and provide support to the payroll administrator as and when required.

Working primarily under the direction of Cundall’s Financial Controller, you will assume responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the billing and accounts payable functions.

You will have provide guidance to ensure compliance with VAT and hold a strong knowledge of UK payroll matters.

You will also harness excellent people management skills to ensure the effective operational performance of your team (e.g., resource/ task allocation), and to this end will carry out team appraisals and identify any ongoing training, performance management or recruitment needs.

An experienced Finance Manager, you will have a proven ability to lead and manage a team, preferably operating in a global environment. You will possess a strong knowledge of VAT compliance and UK payroll matters, and a track record in implementing and maintaining internal controls, working with integrated management information/ ERP systems, and hold a strong background in billing and accounts payable functions.

You will have proven people management skills, and excellent customer service standards, dealing professionally, confidently, and effectively with internal staff and external contacts and advisers.

Experience of working in or with project accounting or professional partnerships is desirable.
