Our industry leading sustainability & building physics team is key to our global business. Collaborating with organisations like the World and UK Green Building Council to create a better, healthier more sustainable built environment.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated Senior Sustainability Engineer to join our team in Bucharest, Romania to work on some of the most exciting sustainable design projects locally and internationally.

 

The role will include supporting our Sustainability team, offering Certification and Compliance services for new build and existing buildings in line with the industry standards (LEED, BREEAM, WELL and others). Working under the guidance of more experienced staff, you will be trained up to assist with certification processes and the development of energy and sustainability strategies. There will also be opportunities to develop skills in some of our key work streams:

  • Building physics and parametric model services
  • Building performance and operational energy optimisation
  • Health and wellbeing advice and guidance
  • Net zero and whole life carbon services
  • Sustainability design and ESG services

The Skills

Educated to Bachelor or Masters level (or equivalent) in Engineering or Architecture and having gained relevant practical experience in one of these fields.

 

A knowledge of the following areas of expertise would be beneficial:

  • LEED, BREEAM and WELL Standards.
  • Dynamic simulation software
  • Mechanical design
  • Building Regulations, EPCs
  • Climate based daylighting analysis
  • Operational energy calculation and life cycle carbon costing

Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
