We are an award winning global consultancy and have been named Building’s Engineering Consultant of the Year in 2024, 2022 and 2021. We are at the forefront of the industry, priding ourselves on our exemplary track record of designing innovative and sustainable projects.
Sustainability runs through everything we do at Cundall, and our people are empowered to drive change and decarbonise the built environment. By the end of this decade, we have set ourselves an ambitious goal to only work on projects that meet our zero carbon design criteria, a commitment we have called our Zero Carbon Design 2030 goal. We need engineers who share this passion for sustainability and thrive in designing energy efficient buildings and communities.
Collaborating with organisations like the World and Spanish Green Building Council to create a better, healthier more sustainable built environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated Senior Engineer to join our Sustainability & Building Physics team, to work on some of the most exciting sustainable design projects in Spain and around the world.
Working under the guidance and supervision of more experienced staff, you will develop your existing knowledge and skills in building modelling and assist with the development of energy and sustainability strategies for new build and existing buildings. Over time you will be supported and encouraged to work towards Chartership, through one of our accredited training schemes.
The role will include supporting and developing some of our key work streams:
Educated to Masters level in Engineering and having gained relevant practical experience in a similar role, you have demonstrable knowledge and experience of building physics, particularly in relation to heat transfer, energy, comfort criteria, CIBSE Guidance and other industry standards.
An in depth-knowledge of dynamic simulation software and the UK Building Regulations, including a complete understand of the National Calculation Methodology is fundamental. A good understanding of mechanical design is essential.
An appreciation of coding or a modern programming language is a requirement.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, effective communication skills and some experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
We know that to be the best at what we do we need a diverse workforce underpinned by an inclusive culture. Creating environments where everyone can find joy doing their best work is also great for everyone. That’s why we positively welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and identities, and encourage, support, and celebrate the diverse voices of our people.
