This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our office in Edinburgh to work on the design of some of the most exciting mechanical design projects in the UK and Worldwide.
Working across a variety of sectors including Government, Critical Systems, Healthcare, Defence and Ministry of Justice, Workplace and Residential, you will work in a team of expert engineers and technicians, and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects for high profile public and private clients.
You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, and will be supported towards chartership.
Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, and having gained experience in a mechanical engineering role within a building services context (Ventilation, cooling and air conditioning, heating systems etc), you are already well versed in relevant design software.
You have experience of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines, possess sound knowledge of Revit, and have proven ability in both overseeing and producing creative, sustainable and intuitive design solutions, as well as preparing specifications and CDM documentation and project reports.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your own initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
