This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client focused Electrical Building Services Engineer to join our team at our office in Hong Kong to play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative electrical design solutions for some of the most exciting and high profile critical systems/data centre projects in China and SE Asia.
With a main focus on the Critical Systems field, and additional opportunities to contribute across variety of sectors such as Education, Commercial, Healthcare, and Retail, you will work in team of expert engineers and technicians, and interact with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects.
Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (preferable MSc or MEng). You have gained relevant experience in an Electrical Engineering role within a building services context (electrical distribution and power generation, lighting design, security systems etc). Having working knowledge of detailed design co-ordination with other design disciplines, you have already produced low energy, creative design solutions, and crucially – you have a passion for electrical power systems.
You will have proven ability in performing cable sizing and protective device settings selection using calculation software (like Amtech, SKM or Etap) and have experience in producing Power Distribution diagrams (SLD) in CAD format. You will be able to produce DiaLux lighting calculations and exports in BIM format and have proven ability in performing final circuiting and voltage drop calculations. You will be able to carry out sizing and selection of containment systems and have proven experience in distribution board schedules.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
