This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Belfast Office, to work on the design of some of the most exciting electrical built environment projects in the UK and internationally.
As part of our established team of expert engineers, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will prepare detailed engineering designs. You will work across a variety of sectors such as Critical Systems, Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, and Retail.
You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, and will be supported towards Chartership.
Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (preferable MSc or MEng). You have gained relevant experience in an Electrical Engineering role within a building services context (electrical distribution and power generation, lighting design, security systems etc). Having working knowledge of detailed design co-ordination with other design disciplines, you have already produced low energy, creative design solutions, and crucially – you have a passion for electrical power systems.
You will have proven ability in performing cable sizing and protective device settings selection using calculation software (like Amtech, SKM or Etap) and have experience in producing Power Distribution diagrams (SLD) in CAD format. You will be able to produce DiaLux lighting calculations and exports in BIM format and have proven ability in performing final circuiting and voltage drop calculations. You will be able to carry out sizing and selection of containment systems and have proven experience in distribution board schedules.
