Cundall's Vertical Transportation team offers a full range of consultancy services, and has extensive knowledge and experience in the design, modernisation, installation, and maintenance of all types of lifts, escalators and moving walkways. The team provide consultancy services to clients both independently and as part of a co-ordinated multi-disciplinary offering on larger projects. Our service covers a wide range of sectors, within which we provide surveys, specifications, project management, witness testing through to whole life cycle planning and costing facilities management.
Further to continuing success and growth, the team is looking to add a VT Consultant to our central London office who can add further knowledge and experience to our existing team of VT specialists.
The VT Consultant will take responsibility for the vertical transportation input into a wide range of built environment engineering projects, and will provide management and supervision to projects and team members. As a lead source of expertise, you will be expected to attend and input at design meetings and provide clear advice to clients, architects, and engineers (internal and external) on design issues relating to new systems, refurbishment, and maintenance works.
The technical duties will include the design and specification of new lift and escalator systems, Lift Traffic Analysis, tender specification and evaluation, on-site observation, and progress reporting.
The role is based in central London, although a small amount of travel is likely to be required within the UK, and occasionally Internationally, to coordinate with colleagues and projects.
Having been educated to degree level in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering, and having gained relevant experience in a lift consultancy or lift manufacturer, your career to date has seen you develop your expertise in the design, commissioning and trouble-shooting of lifts and escalators. You have also gained financial planning, people management and business development skills, and have proven experience of providing your expert insight to internal team members and third parties, including clients, contractors, and architects.
Overall, this role requires a high level of relevant expertise, consummate communication skills, and a passion for excellence in VT Engineering.
