    The Role

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Geotechnical to join our specialist Geoenvironmental group to work on the design of some of the most exciting construction projects in the UK and worldwide.


    Working closely with colleagues across our multi-disciplinary practice (in particular, our Civil and Structural Engineering teams), you will provide specialist consultancy input on projects across all sectors including Education, Healthcare, Critical Systems, Industrial, Residential and Retail.


    In this wide ranging role, as a Geotechnical Engineer you will contribute to Phase I and II land quality risk assessments, become involved in undertaking Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment (DQRA), undertake the preparation of remediation strategies and remediation verification reporting and also contribute to relevant sections of Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Statements.


    You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, and will be supported towards Chartership.

    The Skills

    Accredited with a post graduate qualification in Geology, Engineering Geology or an equivalent Earth Sciences subject, you have a demonstrable interest in geotechnical design and analysis for the built environment. Ideally you have supplemented this interest with a relevant work placement/internship.


    You have a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, are able to manage your own time to meet deadlines and you have an appreciation of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.


    Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
