This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and tenacious Senior Electrical Engineer to join the growing team in our Perth Office.
As a leading figure in our established team of expert engineers and technicians, and working closely with colleagues in our sustainability teams, you will prepare and oversee detailed electrical services engineering designs across a variety of sectors such as Commercial, Residential, Aviation, Institutional and Retail. You will also take responsibility for the management of projects to achieve financial targets and time deadlines – attending and leading project and design meetings to ensure successful planning, allocation of resources and coordination of work.
You will have the opportunity to rapidly assume higher levels of responsibility and accountability to business development, marketing, and leading to promotion into a leadership position.
Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng), and having gained relevant experience in an Electrical Engineering role within a building services context (electrical distribution and power generation, lighting design, communications, fire detection and alarm, security systems etc), and experience of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines, you are already well versed in the use of relevant design software including but not limited to PowerCAD, Dialux, AGI, etc. Experience delivering BIM projects will also be beneficial but not essential.
You have proven ability in producing low energy, creative design solutions, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, and detail design development, and crucially – you have a passion for creative and intuitive design.
You will be ambitious, flexible, capable of working independently and excited by the opportunity to grow your leadership skills as the Perth building services team develops.
Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, you will have an established reputation in Perth and are already or leading towards the chartered engineer status, either Engineers Australia or CIBSE.
Excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
