These are primarily European based, being Spain, Poland, Romania and Denmark.
Working alongside other professional staff and reporting to the Financial Controller responsible for International Operations, you will assume responsibility for the monthly management accounting for several Cundall entities, ensuring up-to-date information is available for review by the Financial Controller and Finance Director ahead of Management Board meetings.
You will also take a lead in cash-flow management and forecasting for those businesses, review of accounting input from internationally based staff, participation in the management of the completion of all required budget, year-end and audit related tasks, for those entities for which you have responsibility.
You will be a crucial point of contact for the internationally based staff and will therefore build and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. You will also harness your excellent organisational skills to ensure the effective meeting of both internal and external deadlines, working closely with other members of the finance team where required.
A fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA), you have gained strong practical experience, some of which ideally from within a private practice, in one of the big 4 or mid-tier accountancy firms. You will possess strong technical accounting skills, and a track record in maintaining internal controls, working with integrated management information systems, and preferably some exposure to finance and accountancy issues in an international business environment.
You will be highly numerate, have proven time management skills, and excellent customer service standards, dealing professionally, confidently and effectively with internal staff and external contacts and advisers across international borders.
Experience of working in or with professional partnerships is desirable.
