This is an excellent opportunity for a talented engineer to join our team in London, to work on some of the most exciting sustainable design projects in the UK and around the world.
As part of our established team of engineers and consultants, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will design, analyse, report, model and document sustainability projects as well as present to clients. You will work across a variety of sectors and will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as we support the development of your professional skills.
As a Principle engineer you will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects within timescales and on budget, preparing fee proposals and bids, mentoring and training of junior staff.
The role will offer a high degree of responsibility, based on the level of experience already gained in the industry.
You will be expected to support Cundall’s One Planet Living aspirations.
Educated to Masters level in Engineering and having gained relevant practical experience in a similar role, you have demonstrable knowledge and experience of sustainability and building physics, particularly in relation to heat transfer, energy, thermal comfort and natural ventilation.
In depth-knowledge of dynamic simulation software, mechanical design and the UK Building Regulations, including a complete understand of the National Calculation Methodology is essential.
An appreciation of coding or a modern programming language would be beneficial
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, effective communication skills and some experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
