This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team in our London office to work on the design of some of the most exciting construction design projects in the UK and worldwide. Working closely with colleagues across our multi-disciplinary practice, you will provide specialist consultancy input on projects across a wide range of sectors.
As a Graduate Structural Engineer, working with and guided by a team of expert engineers, you will carry out detailed structural engineering design and analysis.
The role will require you to use your knowledge and expertise to define and translate clients’ needs into designs for buildings, infrastructure, facilities and services with sustainability at the forefront of the design. You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, and with accredited professional development programmes from the IStructE you will be supported towards Chartership.
Accredited to MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering, you have a keen interest in structural design and analysis for the built environment, and crucially - have a passion for creative and intuitive design. You have a solid understanding of Parametric Modelling, Scripting and Structural Optimisation whilst possessing basic knowledge in the application of Machine Learning.
You possess a desire for personal and professional development, and have proven your ability to work effectively as part of a team. You have an organised and methodical approach to managing tasks and priorities to meet deadlines, and have a close appreciation of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.
Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
Previous experience of working within a similar consultancy environment at graduate level is highly desirable.
