As a One Planet Company, Cundall takes a leadership role in making the built environment a positive contributor to environmental, social and economic needs. Our design teams have delivered many innovative, landmark and award winning projects in Australia and overseas.
A global multi-disciplinary consultancy of over 600 staff in over 20 offices, we have a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration which delivers international best practice solutions to our clients and provides our people with opportunities for career growth and enhancing their skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Senior ESD Consultant to strengthen the sustainable design team in our Perth office and to work on some of the most exciting projects in Australia across a range of sectors.
As part of our established multi-disciplinary team, and working closely with colleagues across multiple offices, you will analyse, report, model and document ESD strategies on projects and present to clients with the aim of achieving positive and practical sustainable outcomes.
The role will include managing projects of all sizes, including day-to-day delivery, client relationships, financial performance, technical excellence and QA. With support from the rest of the leadership team, you will seek to secure new work and positively contribute to strengthening our position as the pre-eminent ESD consultant in Perth and nationally.
The role will offer a high degree of autonomy, based on the level of experience already gained in the industry.
You will be expected to support Cundall’s One Planet Living aspirations.
You will be educated to degree level in Engineering, the Built Environment or a related area, and have gained significant and broad-ranging experience in an ESD Consulting role (including BASIX, home energy ratings, thermal comfort, daylight, energy and water consumption, life cycle assessment, material selection and daylight modelling).
You have practical experience in using Green Star and NABERS, and a good understanding of other ESD rating tools such as LEED, WELL Standard and Living Building Challenge, and have a passion for creative and intuitive design. You will also have experience of leading and managing projects and teams, and project financial performance.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential. Experience with energy modelling software (both Thermal and HVAC) and CFD modelling are desirable.
In line with Cundall’s commitment to technical excellence, you will ideally be seeking to become chartered.
Cundall values equality and diversity, and welcomes applications from candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
