We have specialists in Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD), including WELL, BREEAM and LEED with top end analysis tools to support low carbon design. Our ESD specialist work closely with our mechanical and electrical engineers to develop integrated and sustainable designs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join the building services team at our Madrid office, to lead on the design of some of the most exciting electrical design projects in the UK and internationally.
You would work on a range of projects in Spain, Portugal, UK and Ireland, across variety of sectors such as Education, Commercial, Healthcare, and Retail. You will work in team of expert engineers and interact with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects.
Educated to degree level in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng or equivalent), and having gained relevant experience within a consultancy environment (design and coordination of electrical distribution and power generation, lighting, security systems etc), you are already well versed in the use of relevant design software including Amtech and ideally, Dialux.
A knowledge of Código Técnico de la Edificación (CTE) y el Reglamento de Instalaciones Térmicas de los Edificios (RITE) would be beneficial.
You have proven ability in producing low energy, creative design solutions, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, and detail design development and crucially – you have a passion for creative and intuitive design.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential. A working knowledge of both Spanish and English is essential.
