  • The Team

    Our specialist acoustics team works on projects throughout world, from their bases in the UK and Australia. The team provide consultancy services to clients both independently and as part of a co-ordinated multi-disciplinary offering on larger projects.


    They work on projects large and small, across a variety of sectors. Established in 2010, the team has gone from strength to strength, and is now represented regularly at industry events, providing thought leadership within the acoustics industry.

    The Role

    Further to continuing success and growth, the team is now ready to add a Principal Acoustics Consultant who can bring a wealth of experience, drive and technical expertise to our existing team of acoustics specialists. The Principal Consultant will take responsibility for acoustic input into a wide range of built environment engineering projects, and will provide management and supervision to projects and team members.


    As a leading source of expertise, attendance and input at design meetings and providing clear advice to clients, architects and engineers (internal and external) on design issues relating to acoustics, noise and vibration will be crucial.


    The technical duties will include preparing and overseeing fee proposals for acoustics, noise and vibration assessments, sound management programmes and design specifications, which includes liaising with clients, acquisition and collation of data, computer modelling, noise and vibration monitoring, noise and vibration measurements, calculations and processing of results, interpretation of data, and production of reports, drawings, figures and tables.

    The Skills

    Having been educated to degree level in Acoustic Engineering or another relevant discipline, your career to-date has seen you develop your acoustic expertise within a consultancy environment where you have gained an in-depth understanding of environmental and building related acoustic work stream. You have proven experience of providing your expertise to internal team members and third parties, including clients, contractors and architects, and have proven yourself as a highly effective manager of staff.


    Overall, this role requires a high level of relevant expertise, consummate communication skills, and a passion for excellence in Acoustic Engineering.
