Cundall’s engineering teams pride ourselves on our exemplary track record of designing innovative and sustainable built environment solutions, within M&E, Civil and Structural, and many other specialist disciplines.
Our Birmingham office offers a source of world leading expertise across multiple engineering disciplines – as well as a forward-thinking and collaborative approach to skill development, and professional excellence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Technician to join the structural engineering team at our office in central Birmingham, to assist the production of CAD drawings for all stages of design, ensuring the effective design of some of the most exciting building projects in the region and around the UK.
Providing crucial support to our established team of expert engineers and technicians, and working alongside colleagues of various disciplines, you will learn how to use software such as AutoCAD and Revit, and assist the production of detailed 2D CAD general assemblies and 3D models.
Having achieved a minimum of 5 GCSE levels 4-9 (or equivalent), you have a keen interest in the construction industry, and may have obtained some relevant work experience. You may be currently studying towards, or have recently achieved a relevant BTEC/technical certificate (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject. You are already proven to be adept at planning and organising your workload, and communicating effectively with other team members.
You have the motivation and aptitude to develop as a skilled user of drawing software such as AutoCAD, and the ambition to work towards becoming an expert Technician over time. You also possess the personal qualities and organisation skills to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, and crucially – share Cundall’s passion for creative, sustainable and intuitive design.
In this role Cundall will support and fund your studies through to the relevant level of qualification (e.g HNC/HND) in civil/structural engineering on a day-release basis.
Cundall values equality and diversity, and welcomes applications from candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
