  • The Team

    Cundall are leading the way in the provision of creative, sustainable design solutions, and in order to keep up with the demands of the organisation, require a hands-on, organised and collaborative Senior IT Support Engineer to assist our team of multi-disciplined engineers in our Newcastle office.

    The Role

    In line with the continuing growth of our business in the UK and internationally, we now wish to appoint a Senior IT Support Engineer to join our busy team in Newcastle who will take responsibility for resolving 3rd line issues sent to the Service Desk or escalated by the IT support team for all our Global Offices.


    You will also act as a main point of contact for our external IT consultants and internal management and liaise as appropriate.

    The Skills

    With proven practical experience providing 3rd line support, you will have gained experience of working in a change management environment with Incident Managers controlling the incident from start to end. You must have gained your ITIL certification and have an excellent understanding of DHCP, AD (management of User and Computer accounts as well as Security and Distribution Groups), Group Policy (experience of creating GPOs, WMI filters as well as adding new templates to the domain), and also Print Management (ability to add drivers and deploy via Group Policy, as well as cleaning up dead printers).


    You must also have proven practical experience of troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and vLANs. You need to have used SCCM extensively when building machines in a zero-touch manner (remotely building machines with zero user interaction) and also have practical experience of working in an environment that uses the SCCM catalogue, allowing users to install approved apps.


    You should also have proven practical experience of using diagnosing tools such as Procmon, List Dlls, Process Explorer, registry management, log files, ADSI & WMI scripting and process of elimination techniques. Experience of supporting users internationally would be advantageous as you’ll be required to work within different time zones and use remote support techniques. You will also have an excellent knowledge of PC & Server hardware specifications.


    You will also have exceptionally high standards when it comes to attention to detail, and pride yourself on being organised, thorough and collaborative in your approach to tasks.


    MCSE/MCP Enterprise Administrator or Server Administrator or equivalent IT Qualifications would be advantageous.
