    Our Building Services team’s mission is to play a key role in making buildings more energy efficient, cost effective to run and, ultimately, more sustainable.  Working across a variety of sectors our building services teams are a source of world leading expertise; producing innovative and award-winning sustainable engineering solutions throughout the lifecycle of any building project.


    As a medium-sized but truly international consultancy, we are big enough to be able to provide a wide range of challenging projects for our staff, but still at a size where our students can be treated as individuals, and given real responsibility at an early stage.

    The Role

    We are recruiting talented and creative engineering students to join our team for a Summer Placement in 2018.  It is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join the team to work on the design of some of the most exciting construction design projects in the UK and worldwide.


    Under the guidance of our team of expert engineers this role will provide you with opportunities to assist our design team with detailed electrical building services engineering design and analysis; defining and translating clients’ needs into designs for buildings, facilities and services.  All with sustainability at the forefront of the design. 

    The Skills

    Individuals who are interested in the summer placement opportunities that we have available will need to be:

    • On track to achieve a 2:1 or above
    • Working towards a Masters level degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
    • Preferably be in your second or third year of study
    • Have a passion for improving the built environment
    • Be interested in design and, in particular, sustainable design principles 

    Opportunities are available in our Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, London, Belfast and Dublin offices.


    Start dates can be flexible, depending upon the candidate’s requirements and placements will last between 6 to 12 weeks.
