The sustainability specialists in our Dublin office will work closely with Cundall’s wider global sustainable design team which has designed some of the most sustainable projects around the world, thus ensuring opportunities for continuous knowledge sharing and innovation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a credible Principal Sustainability Consultant to join our team in Dublin, to work on the design of some of the most exciting sustainable building projects in Ireland and throughout Europe.
As part of our established team of sustainability specialists, and working closely with colleagues of various engineering disciplines, you will develop concepts, report and document sustainability projects as well as present to clients with the aim of expanding our regional project portfolio. You will take on the supervision and mentoring of more junior team members, and will ensure the successful delivery of outstanding sustainable design solutions to quality standards and time deadlines.
This role will enable you to have an impact across a variety of sectors such as Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Retail and Residential, and ensure that over time you have the opportunity to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as we support the development of your professional skills.
Educated to degree level in Engineering or the Built Environment, you will have gained significant demonstrable experience in a relevant sustainable engineering role (including responsibility relating to thermal transfer, daylight, natural ventilation, Biophilia, fluid dynamics, thermal comfort, embodied energy LZC technologies, air conditioning systems etc.).
A good understanding of the BREEAM rating tool would be beneficial as well as a good understanding of the relevant building codes and practices. Experience with dynamic simulation tools is considered very desirable.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, good communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
