This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced Transportation Consultant/Planner to join our team based in our Newcastle office, to play a key role in the provision of innovative and effective transportation advice to support some of the most exciting projects in the UK and internationally.
Working across a variety of sectors such as education, commercial, healthcare, retail and residential developments, you will work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to ensure the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects.

The role will involve a wider range of activities beyond just the technical, including involvement in building client relationships, day-to-day management of project tasks and the marketing of the Practice’s services, which will provide a sound basis for further career progression in the future and support the team’s growth.
As a proven transportation planner, with sound technical and industry understanding, you will have gained significant relevant experience in a transportation and/or transport planning role within a relevant consultancy and/or local authority and have proven your technical expertise with relevant technical software including GIS, ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig and TEMPRO.
You will have experience of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines and have proven ability in both overseeing and producing effective transport planning solutions and preparing project reports which reflect the sustainable ethos of the company and the team. The ability to support more junior colleagues to progress their career is essential.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges (both at client and local authority level) are essential.
