Cundall’s Structural Engineering team pride ourselves on our exemplary track record of designing innovative and sustainable structural solutions, that minimise the use of natural resources.
As one of the longest established of Cundall’s many disciplines, the Structural team are a source of world leading expertise – and offer a pro-active and collaborative approach to skill development, and professional excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client focussed Structural Engineer to join our team at our central London office (St Pauls), to play a leading role in the design of some of the most exciting and prestigious construction projects in the UK and internationally, across a variety of sectors including education, commercial, healthcare, retail and critical systems.
As part of our established team of expert engineers and technicians, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will oversee the production of engineering designs, including the verification and checking of calculations, specifications, scheme designs and project reports.
You will take responsibility for the supervision of more junior team members, and for the successful delivery of projects to financial and time deadlines. Management of client expectations, and leading project and design meetings are also crucial to success in this role.
A Chartered Engineer, and accredited with a MEng degree (or equivalent) in Structural or Civil Engineering, you will have gained significant practical experience of structural engineering within a consultancy environment, and an accomplished level of relevant IT skills in structural design software including AutoCAD and BIM (Revit).
You will have proven ability to produce creative design solutions in multiple materials, including steel, reinforced concrete and masonry, and crucially – have a passion for creative and intuitive design.
Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
Cundall values equality and diversity, and welcomes applications from candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
