Cundall’s Lighting Design Team (Cundall Light4) deliver award-winning innovative design solutions which have over recent years been described as game changers in a number of sectors within the industry. The lighting designers support all the Cundall office projects globally in addition to working on independent Light4 commissions. With a progressively increasing workload there is a need for additional skills within the team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lighting Designer to join the team in our Manchester Office. You will be responsible for managing and delivering the lighting design elements of your projects in addition to supporting your lighting design colleagues.
Cundall Light4’s approach is to challenge the perception of what is good quality lighting design and we use every project to advance our clients and the public’s understanding of light and it’s many benefits. You will be expected to push the boundaries both creatively and technically to deliver outstanding and award-winning lighting designs. Our projects are across a variety of sectors including workplace, retail, public realm, historic and lighting installations. Designing for daylight is a key element of what we do alongside the architectural lighting design.
An established lighting designer with experience of developing projects from the creative concept stage through the technical delivery stage and onto site. You will have a portfolio demonstrating concept design sketches, photoshop renders, 3D design skills, lighting calculations and detail design drawing production. Experience of designing for daylight would be useful.
You are a confident and credible relationship builder and know what it takes to manage and exceed client expectations (both internally and externally), and have experience of managing and mentoring more junior engineers.
