In line with the continuing growth of our business in the UK and internationally, we now wish to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join the Critical Systems team in our central London office (St Pauls) to manage construction design projects in the UK and overseas.
The role will require you to take the lead on managing all aspects of design on projects. You will be responsible for the overall liaison between the design discipline teams and the Client to ensure that projects are delivered on time in the most efficient and cost-effective way. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design delivery strategy taking pro-active control of all design management meetings, protocols and tools used on the project.
Educated to degree level in Building Services Engineering or equivalent and having gained relevant working experience within a fast-paced and complex construction environment, you will have developed a strong understanding of construction project design processes and have a working knowledge of the necessary equipment and systems. In your most recent position you have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage multiple large-scale projects to deliver to, and exceed, client expectations.
You will possess excellent organisational, planning and time management skills in order to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality. You will have a proactive approach when it comes managing your own workload and that of others in your team.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication and project management skills are essential.
