In line with the continuing growth of our business in the UK and internationally, we now wish to appoint an Assistant Design Manager to join our central London office (St Pauls) to provide support on the management side of construction design projects in the UK and overseas.
The role will include assisting the Design Manager and/or Project Manager in liaising with all design discipline teams, tracking progress and coordination of design stage issues. The role will assist in managing and controlling design management tools used on the projects such as schedules and trackers of client requirements and comments, multidisciplinary design meeting trackers, outstanding action trackers, deliverable schedules, and project filing systems and protocols.
The role will also provide organisational support to the team through scheduling and setting up meetings/reviews, assisting in workshop and site visit arrangements.
Educated to degree level in Building Services Engineering or Architecture and having gained relevant working experience within a fast-paced and complex construction environment, you will have developed a strong understanding of construction project design processes and have knowledge on the technical aspects of design and construction matters, systems and processes.
You will be used to working on multiple priorities and to tight deadlines – making use of your initiative, self-motivation and strong effective communication skills. You will be highly organised, possess a high level of competency when working with MS Office and have a proactive approach when it comes to managing your own workload.
